Welcome to Revolving Pinwheel – A block-of-the-month quilt along
The block-of-the-month (BOM) quilt along for 2021 will look a little different than previous years. The blocks for each month are all based on a single original block design … the Revolving Pinwheel.
Each block will be assembled following the same instructions, which will be provided in print form as well as an online tutorial. The repetition of blocks makes this quilt along accessible for quilters of any skill level. Another unique twist to this year’s BOM is that it can be done as a scrap busting project. Each month I will provide pre-cut background fabrics and instructions for assembling the block using your own print and focal fabrics (I have used a variety of bold and bright print fabrics with fussy cut Tula Pink focal fabrics). I will have limited scrap bundles available for purchase for those quilters who don’t want any fuss of cutting. Assembled, all 12 blocks will create a 48″ x 64″ lap quilt. You can increase the quilt size with borders, sashing or extra blocks. How you finish the project is totally up to you!
Block-of-the month subscriptions include:
- digital pattern (via monthly email)
- printed pattern and background fabric (to be picked up or mailed out, depending on your subscription)
- online tutorials (www.justitch.ca)
